STEM Ambassador videos
We have three exciting videos showing footage of some of our STEM Ambassadors taking part in activities and encouraging students to take more of an active interest in STEM subjects. They give a useful insight into what drew the volunteers to become STEM Ambassadors, what to expect from an activity, and feedback from students, teachers and employers.
The STEM Ambassadors programme is STEMNET's flagship programme and currently has over 18,000 volunteers.
The three activities featured are:
- UKAY RoC challenge
Follow three STEM Ambassadors helping students at Keswick School, Cumbria, to design, construct and successfully launch a rocket carrying one raw medium size hen's egg back to earth intact.
- Wind Turbines
STEM Ambassadors help students to design wind turbines at Pershore High School, Worcester
- Unlocking biological secrets using mathematics
STEM Ambassador Femke van den Berg coordinated an activity day that helped students in Hertfordshire to link biology and maths together.
