Mathematics for Engineering: A new Level 3 qualification
Monday 23 January, 2012
Mathematics is an integral part of the study of engineering regardless of which branch of engineering is chosen. Many in the engineering community believe that additional mathematics material should be available for those students studying the Advanced Diploma in Engineering to prepare them for progression onto engineering degree courses at university.
With this in mind, The Royal Academy of Engineering and Engineering Professors’ Council, together with many other leading institutions in engineering, have developed a new Level 3 maths qualification called 'Mathematics for Engineering'.
OCR awarding body is successfully offering this qualification and more information can be found on the OCR website.
This qualification is specifically designed to boost the mathematics content of the Engineering Diploma and can also be studied as a standalone module alongside A level. For more information visit The Royal Academy of Engineering Maths page.
