Why did you decide to become an Ambassador?
To raise awareness and introduce students to the paths into and opportunities within the science and engineering field.

Approximately 2 days per annum
Describe the latest activity you were involved in:
'Your Future in Science and Engineering’ event for London Borough of Tower Hamlets school pupils in years 9-10 studying GCSE science.
What was your role in this activity? What were you responsible for?
A 10 minute presentation on my present career, how I got into my job, the qualifications required and a 15 minute hands-on activity.
What do you feel were the positive outcomes for the pupils and teaching staff?
An opportunity to motivate young people to pursue careers in science and engineering. The teaching staff found it useful to know about careers that apply to science and maths.
What do you feel were the positive outcomes for yourself?
I learnt about presenting a subject in a manner that is easy to understand, whilst keeping the audience interested and adapting to time constraints.
Do you have any tips for future STEM Ambassadors?
Try to keep presentations short and precise, an interactive hands – on activity a must.
