How do we do it?

STEMNET works in collaboration with an extensive range of partner organisations, including government, industry, professional institutions and its UK-wide network of local organisations, skilled in facilitating education and business links and working with other STEM partners.
In total STEMNET co-ordinates 52 organisation to fullfil a brokerage role to schools through STEMPOINT contracts. With strong links to business and industry at a local, regional and national level, STEMNET, the STEMPOINT contract holders work to provide schools with access to information on a wide range of programmes, resources and activities that help give a ‘real world’ sense of how STEM subjects can lead to a variety of interesting and exciting employment opportunities.
Many Enhancement and Enrichment activities can be supported by STEMNET's Science & Engineering Ambassadors (SEAs) programme – individuals from a wide variety of STEM backgrounds, from across the UK, who have offered their time and expertise to help schools inspire young people. Having a genuine focus on a future career path can act as a real stimulus to young people in achieving better qualifications.
